Yogendra Kumar ModiMr. Yogendra Kumar Modi is the Director and promoter of YKM Holdings International Limited. Son of Kedar Nath Modi, YK Modi is a highly acclaimed philanthropist and industrialist with vast experience and knowledge. Kedar Nath Modi is the step-brother of R. B. Gujarmal Modi who was instrumental behind pioneering the Modi Group conglomerate by setting up a sugar mill in 1933. Also, R. B. Gujarmal Modi is the grandfather of Lalit Modi, who founded the highly popular Indian Premier League (IPL). Y. K. Modi has been a part of different successful projects in the past related to various industry segments like cement, textiles, industrial chemicals, auto components and electronics. Apart from his achievements in the industrial sector, Y. K. Modi is also a member of the Dean’s Council at J. F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. A prominent industry spokesperson of the nation, he has also held office in different national level business bodies. On October 18, 2003, he was appointed as the President of FICCI (Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry). FICCI, an association of business organisations in India has indirect membership of more than 2,500,000 companies from different regional chambers of commerce. In 1992, he was appointed to the board of ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) after serving as a member of the Executive Committee and Standing Advisory Committee of ICC. The YKM Holdings International Limited holding investments on behalf of the Y K Modi family was established by Yogendra Kumar Modi. Prashant ModiPrashant Modi is a part of the board of directors of YKM Holdings International Limited. On top of that, he is also the CEO and MD of GEECL (Great Eastern Energy Corporation Limited), an YKM Holdings Group company. GEECL is a fully integrated gas production, development and exploration Company in India, providing gas to the growing industrial region of West Bengal. Apart from his responsibilities at YKM Holdings International Limited, Prashant Modi is also responsible to look into the day-to-day operations of GEECL and supervise the efforts of the organisation towards further growth and development. Prashant Modi was instrumental behind listing of GEECL’s GDR at the Alternative Investment Market in the LSE (London Stock Exchange) and later on, shifting them to the primary board of the LSE in May 2010. He is a management graduate from Boston University, USA and a member of various prestigious national and international bodies like Global Growth Companies Advisory Board, World Economic Forum, Environment Task Force Committee, FICCI, Task Force of Energy, ICC, Commission on Environment and Energy, International Chamber of Commerce, Paris (ICC) and others. Before being a part of the YK Modi Group, Prashant Modi gained a lot of industry exposure and experience by working with ANZ Bank, London and Qualcomm Inc, San Diego, United States.
